    TEAM ASSIGNMENTS

    Players in the following divisions are selected via a coaches draft to be held the weekend of 03/10-03/11. Parents will receive an e-mail notification from L.M.L.L. with their child's division and team assignment on Monday, 03/12. Parents should also receive a phone call from their child's coach.

    Coach Spedafino's Softball Clinics MARCH !

    The following softball clinics are open to all players in grades 3rd through 6th. They are hosted by Joan Spedafino, the Rye Neck High School varsity softball coach. The fee is $60 for each set of 4 sessions (general skills on weekend mornings, pitching on Tuesday nights). Registration is limited to the first 50 girls. Checks must be made out to Rye Neck Softball, and can be dropped off at F.E. Bellows School or mailed to: Joan Spedafino, 208 West Street, Mamaroneck, NY 10543. Any questions?     Tiger Paw Softball Clinics STARTED !

    The following softball clinics are open to all girls in grades 3rd and up. They are hosted by Cara Schwartz, a pitching coach/instructor and former college pitcher. The fees are $335 for the set of 13 pitching sessions on Mondays, and $400 for the set of 13 general skills and defensive strategies sessions on Wednesdays. This activity is not sponsored by L.M.L.L.

    2011 Fall Season Highlights

    Congratulations to the following team:

    10U Larchmont-Mamaroneck Wildcats:

  • 10 year old Westchester Putnam Baseball Association playoff co-champions. Larchmont-Mamaroneck were the 3rd seed and went 2-0 in the playoffs. They share the title with 5th seeded Bedford / Pound Ridge, after their championship game had to be cancelled due to weather.


    2011 Summer Season Highlights

    Congratulations to the following teams:

    9U Larchmont-Mamaroneck Tigers:

  • 9 year old Westchester Putnam Baseball Association regular season champions. Larchmont-Mamaroneck finished the regular season with a 17-2 record, tied for 1st place with Bedford / Pound Ridge. Overall, there were 20 teams in the division.

  • 9 year old Westchester Putnam Baseball Association playoff champions. Larchmont-Mamaroneck was the 1st seed and went 3-0 in the playoffs, defeating 3rd seeded Armonk in the championship game.

    12U Larchmont-Mamaroneck Wildcats:

  • 12 year old Westchester Putnam Softball Association (South) regular season champions. Larchmont-Mamaroneck finished the regular season with a 9-1 record, tied for 1st place with Pelham. Overall, there were 7 teams in the division.

    14U Larchmont-Mamaroneck Tigers:

  • 14 year old Westchester Baseball Classic champions. The tournament was held on 05/28 and 05/29 in Scarsdale. Larchmont-Mamaroneck went 4-0, defeating 2nd place New Rochelle in the championship game and outscoring all their opponents 52-5.

    16U Larchmont-Mamaroneck Tigers:

  • 16 year old N.E.B.A. Connecticut Bombers Invitational Tournament champions. The tournament was held from 07/15 through 07/17 in New Haven, CT. Larchmont-Mamaroneck went 6-1, defeating 2nd place New York Gothams in the championship game and outscoring all their opponents 52-23. Photo.

    Daniel Marcus Awards

    The Daniel Marcus Sportsmanship Awards are presented each spring season to a 12 year old player in Baseball Majors and a 12 year old player in Softball Majors who have demonstrated sportsmanship, teamwork and maturity during their Little League careers. The awards honor the memory of Daniel J. Marcus (1985-1998), a former player in our league. The Daniel Marcus Sportsmanship Awards are the only individual player achievements recognized by L.M.L.L. Congratulations to this year's winners, and to all of our past recipients.

    George Allen Awards

    The George Allen Coaching Awards are presented each spring season to a coach in Baseball Majors and a coach in Softball Majors whom have been judged as their respective division’s Coach of the Year, based upon the following criteria:

  • Quality of Little League experience the coach provides to the players on his/her team
  • Development of baseball/softball skills and knowledge
  • Creating a fun experience that helps foster a love for the game
  • Sportsmanship
  • Attitude towards players, parents, umpires and opposing coaches
  • Reliability, responsibility and communication

    The awards honor the memory of George Allen (1947-2007), a former coach and dedicated Board member in our league. Congratulations to this year's winners, and to our past recipients.

    Stephen Spina Award

    The Stephen Spina Umpiring Award is presented each spring season to an umpire in competitive baseball or softball who has been judged to be the L.M.L.L.'s most exemplary, based on the following criteria:

  • Knowledge of the game
  • Attitude towards players and coaches
  • Reliability and responsibility
  • Overall demeanor, fairness and conduct
  • Willingness to teach and bring fun to the games

    The award honors the memory of Stephen P. Spina (1971-2007), a former umpire in our league. Congratulations to this year's winner, and to our past recipients.
