COACHES RESPONSIBILITIES

Coaches are at the heart of any Little League. With coaching comes responsibilities; to your players, your fellow coaches, to parents, and to the League. Below is a list of your some of your more important responsibilities. Failure to follow any of them will result in your being subject to discipline by L.M.L.L. So please take them seriously, as we do.

1.  Exercise proper behavior towards players, parents, umpires, coaches and League officials.

2.  Consider good sportsmanship and the safety of your players above all else.

3.  Conduct a reasonable number of practices before the season starts and throughout the season.

4.  Fully understand and strictly follow the L.M.L.L. Local Rules applicable to your division.

5.  Read the Little League Inc. Playing Rules applicable to your division.

6.  Educate yourself on how to coach baseball and teach baseball skills.

7.  Attend ALL events listed above under "Important Dates" applicable to your division.

8.  Report all game scores as directed by L.M.L.L. (Baseball Green, Blue, Majors divisions).

9.  Return all equipment at the end of the season as directed by L.M.L.L.

10.  Submit all player ratings at the end of the season as directed by L.M.L.L. (Baseball Gold, Green, Blue, Majors divisions).

11.  Remember that the game is for the players.

You are the most important Little League volunteer.

SOFTBALL COACHES RESPONSIBILITIES

Just as the girls who are playing softball in our Little League are at its core, you as coaches play a pivotal role in the success of the program. It is your leadership on and off the field that will ensure that each girl has an enriching experience and looks forward to playing the next season.

You have a responsibility to lead by example amongst your fellow coaches, parents, spectators and, most importantly, the players themselves. Your tenure as a coach can be very rewarding despite the fact that, at times, it can be frustrating. This overall experience is an extraordinary opportunity to spend more "quality time" with your daughters and their friends engaging in something over the course of the season that, while it may seem fleeting in time, will engender a lifetime of memories.

To make the experience that much more fun and fair to all involved please take the time know the rules described below that are applicable to our Little League organization:

11.  Remember that the game is for the players.
