Thanks to everyone involved for a great season.

USE OF FLORENCE ST. PARK

We have once again been granted a permit from the Village of Mamaroneck authorities to use this park on a limited basis to play Baseball Gold games.

At this location:

There are homes reasonably close to the field.

The only available parking is on the street.

There is no public restroom.

Therefore, it is imperative that all coaches, parents and players:

Obey the street parking regulations in the area.

Respect the property of nearby residents.

Thoroughly clean up trash after the game. Take it with you if there are no garbage cans.

Florence Street Park in Mamaroneck is located on Florence Street, which runs between Keeler Avenue (NY-127) and Halstead Avenue.

USE OF GRONBERG FIELD

Gronberg Field at Harbor Island Park has been impacted by the construction being done at the sewage treatment plant. The following ground rules apply while this construction is ongoing and the fence is up:

An adult shall be stationed at the RF fence, in foul territory, at all times during games. The adult's responsibility shall be to indicate, by raising their arms, when a ball has touched or cleared the fence, and to warn any child approaching the fence to stop short of it. The adult shall not otherwise affect or comment on play in any way. The umpire, and not the adult, judges where the ball lands for the purposes below.

If a hit ball clears the fence in fair territory, it shall be a home run.

If a hit ball hits the fence in fair territory before touching the ground and lands in fair territory, the ball is dead and it shall be a ground rule triple.

If a hit ball hits the ground first in fair territory and then hits the fence, the ball is dead and it shall be a ground rule double.

Note that the pitching rubber may not be the proper distance from the plate for the relevant division. Check before each game, and if necesary use a temporary rubber or other indication for the pitcher to pitch from.
